Power saving
The older equipment saves more than 40% of power. The particle size of the product is more uniform, and the coarse particles and slime are less. Compared with the particle size characteristics of the rod mill product and the ball mill product, the particle size characteristic curve of the open-circuit rod mill product is almost the same as that of the closed-circuit ball mill.
Uniform discharge and high yield
The use of advanced controllable feed rod mill technology, combined with the actual user's grinding material with the appropriate grinding body, a change of the traditional ball mill surface contact for line contact, so that the sand machine discharge particle size is more uniform, higher output, suitable for different hardness (Mohs hardness 5.5~12) of the ore.

There are three general uses of rod mill

1) tungsten tin ore and other rare metal ore gravity or magnetic separation plant, in order to prevent the harm caused by over-crushing, often use rod mill;
2) When the two-stage grinding process is used, if the first stage is ground from 20~6mm to 3~1mm, when the rod mill is used as the first stage grinding equipment, the production capacity is larger and the efficiency is higher. Because the surface area of a certain weight of the rod load is much smaller than that of the ball load of the same weight, the productivity and efficiency of the rod mill are lower than that of the ball mill when the second stage is fine grinding;

Performance comparison

(I) rod mill performance
The particle size characteristics of the rod mill product are related to the condition of the rod grinding ore. When the rod strikes the ore, it first hits the coarse grains and then grinds the smaller grains, thus reducing the risk of over-crushing. When the rod rotates and rises along the liner, coarse grains are sandwiched between them, like a bar sieve, allowing fine grains to pass through the slits of the rod, which is also conducive to crushing coarse grains and concentrating coarse grains where the grinding medium hits. Therefore, the product of the rod mill is more uniform and the over-pulverization is lighter.
Comparison of (II) Rod Mill and Ball Mill

(1) tungsten tin ore and other rare metal ore re-election or magnetic separation plant, in order to prevent the harm caused by crushing, often use rod mill;
(2) In some cases, it can replace the short head cone crusher for fine crushing. When dealing with softer or less hard ore (especially ore with high viscosity) and grinding 19-25mm (even 32mm) ore to 6-10 mesh with rod mill, the configuration is simpler and the cost is lower than that when the short-head cone crusher is closed with the sieve, and the dust removal in the ore crushing workshop can be simplified. For hard ore, it may be more economical to use a short-head cone crusher in a closed circuit with a sieve.
In the design of the choice of ball mill or rod mill, must be based on the specific situation to develop a plan to compare to determine.

Precautions

1. The installation location of the rod grinding sand machine has a great relationship with the crusher. The different crushing sites and the installation location of the rod grinding sand machine are also different. Generally, most of them are installed in the factory or open-air operation.
2. Before the machine is installed, check according to the packing list to check whether all kinds of parts are damaged during transportation and whether the parts and spare parts are complete.
3. Adjustment of the machine Before the crusher leaves the factory, the manufacturer has been operating in the factory for hours, and all parts are normal. However, after the rod mill sand making machine is installed on site, a comprehensive inspection should be carried out to check whether the lubricating oil pipe is firmly connected. Before the test run, oil should be added again, and Mobil car lubrication grade should be added.
4. Check the connection of each component, it should be firm and reliable, carefully check whether there is foreign matter on the impeller, if any, it should be eliminated in time. Check whether the motor wiring is correct and whether the voltage is normal.
5. Before installing the belt, start the motor first, and the rotation direction should be consistent with the sign direction of the sand making machine. That is, from the feeding port, if the impeller rotates counterclockwise in the opposite direction to the sign direction, the motor wiring should be adjusted so that the rotation direction is consistent with the sign direction. For the dual-motor drive spindle assembly and the motors on both sides, the tension force of the two sides of the triangular tape should be adjusted to be the same and straight.
Reasonable and correct installation of the rod grinding sand machine can not only improve its work efficiency, but also effectively protect the expensive rod grinding sand machine, extend its service life, and create more value for the enterprise.
