Flotation machine
Flotation machine is the abbreviation of floating concentrator, which refers to the mechanical equipment that completes the flotation process. In the flotation machine, the pulp treated by the addition of the reagent is stirred and aerated to selectively fix some of the ore particles on the bubbles. Floating to the surface of the pulp is scraped out to form foam products, while the rest is retained in the pulp to achieve the purpose of separating minerals. There are many structural forms of flotation machine, the most commonly used is mechanical agitation flotation machine.

Scope of application

Flotation machine is mainly used for selecting non-ferrous metals such as copper, zinc, lead, nickel, gold, etc., and can also be used for rough selection and selection of ferrous metals and non-metals.

The unmineralized coal particles above the bottom of the tank will be mixed, mineralized and separated again through the circulation hole and the upper suction port. Part of the pulp at the bottom of the tank, which is not sucked by the impeller, enters the bottom of the tank of the second chamber through the intermediate ore box buried in the pulp. After completing the whole process of the first chamber, it enters the third chamber. The flotation machine goes round and round, and the pulp enters the tailings box after passing through the final 1 chamber to discharge the final tailings. It is an important equipment for the 1 mineral processing production line.

Working principle

The flotation machine is driven by the motor triangle belt to drive the impeller to rotate, resulting in centrifugal effect to form negative pressure. On the one hand, it sucks in sufficient air to mix with the pulp, on the other hand, it stirs the pulp to mix with the medicine, and at the same time refines the foam, so that the mineral adhesive foam floats on the pulp surface to form mineralized foam. Adjust the height of the ram and control the liquid level so that useful foam is scraped out by the scraper.
After the coal slime and the reagent are fully mixed, they are fed into the bottom of the tank of the first chamber of the flotation machine. After the impeller rotates, negative pressure is formed in the wheel cavity, so that the slurry under the tank and in the tank enters the mixing zone through the lower suction port and the upper suction port of the impeller respectively, and the air enters the mixing zone along the air guide sleeve, where the slurry, air and the reagent are mixed.
Under the action of the impeller centrifugal force, the mixed slurry enters the mineralization zone, the air forms bubbles and is crushed, and fully contacts with the coal particles to form mineralized bubbles. Under the action of the stator and the turbulence plate, the slurry is evenly distributed in the tank section and moves upward into the separation zone to form a foam layer, which is discharged by the bubble scraping mechanism to form clean coal foam.

The sorting rotating ring rotates slowly. When the sorting chamber enters the floating field area, the selected materials are respectively fed to 6 sorting points through the slurry distributor. The weakly magnetic ore particles are sucked on the tooth plate and rotate with the sorting ring. Under the action of gravity and slurry flow, the non-magnetic ore particles pass through the gap of the tooth plate and are discharged into the tailings trough at the lower part of the sorting ring. When the separation chamber is transferred to the medium ore cleaning position, a small amount of cleaning water is supplied to wash the mixed gangue, continuous body and ore slime into the tailings tank (the machine is not equipped with a medium ore tank) to achieve the purpose of improving the quality of concentrate. When the sorting chamber turns to the position where the magnetic field is very weak (concentrate flushing area), the pressure water is sprayed to flush the weak magnetic ore particles on the tooth plate into the concentrate tank. The sorting chamber is then switched to another magnetic field region of opposite polarity, each time the sorting loop rotates, with each sorting chamber repeating this 6 times.

The aeration and stirring of the slurry of the mechanical stirring flotation machine are completed by the impeller and the customized mechanical stirring device. It belongs to the external air self-priming flotation machine. These are flotation machines, which are generally of the upper gas suction type, that is, the mechanical stirring device at the lower part of the flotation tank inhales air. According to the type of mechanical stirring device, this kind of flotation machine can be divided into different models, such as XJ type, XJQ type, GF type, SF type, rod type and so on. The advantages of this type of flotation machine are: it can self-suck air and pulp, it is easy to realize self-flow when the medium ore returns, less auxiliary equipment, neat equipment configuration, simple operation and maintenance, etc. The disadvantage is that the aeration volume is small, the power consumption is high, and the wear is large.

Aerated stirring flotation machine it is equipped with a mechanical stirring device, there are the use of external characteristics of the fan forced into the air, but the mechanical stirring device generally only play the role of mixing pulp and distribution of air flow, the air is mainly by external fan into the pulp, aeration and stirring is separated. Therefore, this kind of flotation machine and general mechanical agitation flotation machine has the following characteristics:
The 1. aeration rate can be increased or decreased according to the need and is easy to adjust to remain constant, which is conducive to improving the processing capacity and sorting indicators of the flotation machine;
2. the impeller does not have the effect of suction, the speed is low, the power consumption is small, the wear is small, and the brittle mineral is not easy to produce the mud phenomenon;
3., due to the large processing capacity, shallow slots and other reasons, the power consumption per unit of processing capacity is low. The disadvantage is that an additional set of air pressure system is required, and the intermediate product should be pumped with sand when returning. This kind of flotation machine has CHF-X type, XJC type, BS-C type, KYF type, BS-K type, LCH-X type, CLF type and so on.

Flotation column belongs to this type of flotation machine, its advantage is simple structure, easy to manufacture, the disadvantage is that there is no agitator to make the flotation effect is affected to a certain extent, the inflator is easy to calcium, is not conducive to air dispersion. China has developed and applied several flotation columns before and after the 1970 s, but due to the existence of more shortcomings and the basic elimination. In recent years, with the re-emergence and successful application of foreign flotation column technology, China has developed several flotation columns and is promoting the operation of industrial production.
