A ball mill is a type of grinder used to grind, blend and sometimes for mixing of materials for use in mineral dressing processes, paints, pyrotechnics, ceramics, and selective laser sintering. It works on the principle of impact and attrition: size reduction is done by impact as the balls drop from near the top of the shell.

Structure and Types:

1.Ball mill is made up of feeding part, discharging part, gyre part, transmission part, (decelerator, small transmission gear, generator, electrical control) and so on.

 

2.The cylinder is made of steel and fixed by a steel liner and cylinder.

 

3.Grinding body is generally steel balls. These steel balls are installed in the tube according to different diameters and a certain proportion.

 

4.The hollow axis adopts the cast steel and the lining can replace , the rotating big gear processes in the way of casting rolling gear.

 

5.The barrel body is wearable well and bears wearable scaleboard.

 

6.According the materials and discharging method, ball mill can be divided into dry type ball mill and wet type lattice ball mill.
